DMCA & Copyright Policy

Playstice respects the intellectual property rights of artists, labels, and all rights holders. We respond promptly to valid notices of alleged copyright infringement in accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and applicable EU copyright directives.
1. Reporting Copyright Infringement
If you believe that content on Playstice infringes your copyright, you may submit a DMCA takedown notice to our designated agent. Your notice must include:
- Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed
- Identification of the material on Playstice that you claim is infringing, with enough detail for us to locate it (e.g., track title, artist page URL)
- Your contact information (name, address, phone number, email)
- A statement that you have a good faith belief that use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on behalf of the owner
- Your physical or electronic signature

3. Response Timeline
Upon receiving a valid DMCA notice, we will:
- Acknowledge receipt within 24 hours
- Review and process the notice within 48 hours
- Remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing material promptly
- Notify the content uploader of the takedown and provide them with a copy of the notice
4. Counter-Notification
If you believe your content was removed in error, you may file a counter-notification including:
- Identification of the material that was removed and its location before removal
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was removed by mistake or misidentification
- Your name, address, phone number, and email
- A statement consenting to the jurisdiction of the courts in Vienna, Austria
- Your physical or electronic signature
Upon receiving a valid counter-notification, we will forward it to the original complainant and restore the content within 10–14 business days unless the complainant files a court action.
5. Repeat Infringer Policy
Playstice maintains a strict repeat infringer policy. Users who repeatedly upload infringing content will have their accounts terminated. We track DMCA notices per account and enforce the following:
- First offense: Content removed, warning issued
- Second offense: Content removed, 30-day upload restriction
- Third offense: Account permanently terminated, all content removed, pending royalties forfeited
6. Good Faith
Filing false DMCA notices is a serious matter. Under the DMCA, knowingly making material misrepresentations in a takedown notice may expose the complainant to liability for damages, including costs and attorney fees.
